Cookie Statement

This Cookie Statement explains which cookies and similar technologies we use on the ASIEDGE website, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how you can change your choices at any time. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies let a site remember your actions and preferences over time, keep a session secure, and understand how the site is being used. We use the word 'cookies' in this statement to cover cookies and comparable technologies such as pixels, local storage, and similar identifiers.
Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies). Others are set by the service providers we use to run and measure the site (third-party cookies). Cookies are either session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.
2. The legal basis for using them
Under Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet) and the GDPR, we may place strictly necessary cookies without asking you first, because the site cannot work properly without them. We may also place cookies used purely to measure how the site is used, provided they have no or only a minor effect on your privacy.
For every other cookie, including analytics cookies that are not configured for minimal privacy impact, and any marketing cookie, we ask for your consent through the cookie banner before placing it. You are free to decline, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Declining non-essential cookies does not restrict your access to any part of the site.

We do not use cookies for advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell any data collected through cookies.
4. Managing your choices
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through our >>cookie settings<<, which reopens the banner and lets you accept or decline each non-essential category. Your new choice takes effect immediately.
You can also manage cookies in your browser: most browsers let you see which cookies are stored, delete them individually or in bulk, and block cookies from being set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working as intended. Instructions differ per browser and are available in your browser's help pages.
5. Third-party providers
Where a cookie is set by a third party, that provider processes the data under its own terms as well as ours. We only work with providers that offer contractual data-protection terms, and where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area we rely on an appropriate transfer safeguard, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes to this statement
We may update this Cookie Statement when the cookies we use change or when the law requires it. The current version is always published here with the 'last updated' date shown at the top. Where a change means we need your consent again, we will ask for it through the banner.
